Am I Good Candidate for Cosmetic Tattoo?
Results are not guaranteed. Many factors affect healing, retention of pigment, and results. Including, but not limited to: adherence to aftercare protocols, skin type, the medications you take, if you smoke, UV exposure (both from the sun and tanning beds), anti-aging skin care products, and body chemistry. If you have any questions on whether you may or may not be a good candidate, please contact us before booking.

So You're Getting IWULD BROWS? YASSS, SIS!
Preparing for your appointment is equally as important as following aftercare instructions. But before we get into pre-appointment instructions, first read over our list of contraindications and see if you are a candidate for the services we offer.
DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT:
-
Make sure you eat something. Your appointment will be at least 2hrs. Client is not allowed to get up once microblading begins.
-
Cell phone must be silent.
-
If it is something you typically use, you are welcome to come to your appointment with your brow makeup as you typically wear it. This will help us get an idea of what you are used to having your brows look like. Also, feel free to bring any photos of brows you love for reference. Instagram is a great place to find brow inspiration!
-
It is not necessary to shave, or pluck off, any part of your brows before your appointment and we actually prefer it if you leave them with as much natural hair as possible. If you have very little hair that is totally OK though!
24 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
-
Avoid caffeine and anything else that can thin the blood and/or raise blood pressure. This includes: coffee, caffeinated tea, energy drinks, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, and vitamin E. Tylenol is OK. This is very important. Not only because it makes it easier for us to work on your brows, but more importantly, is imperative for your best healed results. Excess bleeding = ashier results as well as poorer pigment retention.
* All of these 24 hour prior guidelines also apply to the day of your appointment.

For a more comprehensive list of blood thinning medications please click here. It is of the utmost importance that you are not taking these medications prior to and during your brow procedure! FAILURE adhere to this could create an emergency. Consult doctor to ensure this is a safe option for you.

2 WEEKS PRIOR:
-
No botox for at least two weeks before your procedure.
-
No micro dermabrasion for at least two weeks before your procedure.
-
Discontinue the use of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) and glycolic acids on or around the brow area for two weeks leading up to your appointment.
30 DAYS PRIOR:
-
Please wait 1 month after any microneeding, chemical peels or laser resurfacing treatments to the skin.
-
Discontinue the use of all retinoids, retinol, retin-A, one month prior to your appointment.
6 MONTHS PRIOR:
-
If you have had chemotherapy you must wait a minimum of six months and provide a doctors note to clear you for your cosmetic tattoo procedure.
1 YEAR PRIOR:
-
You must be off Accutane for one year prior to your appointment.
Not following other pre-appointment instructions may also lead to your brows turning undesirable tones as they heal (ashy or reddish), or your skin not being in a state conducive to receiving a cosmetic tattoo.
